Brumbaugh Fruit and Fun Farm
Today the boys had their first field trip of the school year. The went to Brumbaugh Farm. They learned about apples and pumpkins and how the grow. When I asked them how their day was the both had lots to say. They told me how an apple grows from a seed and how pumpkins also grow from seeds. Owen went into lots of detail on the entire process of how an apple seed becomes an apple. They told me how the seeds were different and how much fun they had picking their own apple and pumpkin. So now they have little pumpkins to go with their big pumpkins from our family trip to Young's Dairy. I can't believe how much they are learning. It is so nice when they come home and share details of their days.
The Boys
Owen doesn't much care for the dirt bike. He has put in a request to Santa Claus for a kids 4 Wheeler like our neighbors. He feels safer on that. Bless his little heart he takes after me. I was never very daring and it seems that he will be following in my footsteps. (I have to admit is nice to have one that is not so daring) Owen has more fun playing with the neighbors and on his green machine. The picture above is of him dancing in the front yard. Owen and Riley were out there singing and dancing and just plain acting crazy.
So these pictures are from a couple days ago but I am behind on everything these days. I will be doing better about keeping everyone informed on what is happening around here. I promise. So here it goes.... Ashton is enjoying his new dirt bike. Daddy takes him out to the empty field next to our house and lets him go wild. He is still afraid of being hurt but that certainly does not stop our little daredevil. He even gets a little air when he is out there in the field. He informed me tonight that he wants to set up ramps and hills in our back yard for him to practice on! Oh I don't know if my nerves can handle this. They are growing up to fast for me!

Youngs Dairy Trip
Today we spent the day @ Young's Dairy Farm. The Wedeking & Brady families joined in on the pumpkin gathering fun. It was a lot of fun. We took the kids thru the little barn to see & pet the animals. They each got 10 cents to get feed to feed the goats. We even got to see a baby calf that was 1 day old. It was so cute. Then Riley kissed one of the cows on the head and it started peeing. The boys got such a kick out of that. They laughed thru the entire barn and kept making Riley kiss the cow to see if it would pee. Boys... they get a kick out of the silliest things. Then after the barn we took some pictures of the kids. As we were taking pictures big rain clouds started to head over us so we thought we better get on the wagon ride over to the pumpkin fields. The boys of course had a wonderful time trying to find the biggest pumpkin. Ashley B. took pride in her unique pumpkin and Taylor helped Ashton find his pumpkin. It was great just watching them search the entire lot for the best pumpkin! We had a great day then it was off to Frickers for lunch. Kids eat free so that is a plus. They had fun playing games, the men folk watched the football game, and we ladies sat at our own table and chit chatted. Sorry to see the day end but I think everyone was exhausted. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and have a great week!

Ashton has a new interest....
So Ashton's birthday Justin got the boys a little dirt bike. Ashton was in 7th heaven and just loves getting out there and riding. He is not scared at all and is quite the Daredevil. He keeps asking when he can start racing. He is very much like his Daddy. Daddy and Ashton had their day together today. Justin took him outside and let him ride for quite awhile. It was muggy today, kind of foggy in the morning but luckily no rain. Owen on the other hand is a little leary about riding and doesn't like to go fast. (He takes after me not much of a daredevil) Owen and I are alot alike... We are big movie buffs and love to play games. Tonight, he and I played a couple of rounds of Guess Who. It was a blast but I am trying to teach him how to play. When he asks you questions he covers up the wrong people. We had a wonderful time together. The Wedekings also came over this afternoon to hang out. Ashley made Chicken and dumplings and corn bread. It was delicious. Then while the boys played a new video that Ashton got for his birthday the adults played Battle of the Sexes. I am very pleased to say that "Girls Rule" despite being sent back to home twice. We kicked their butts!!!!! We are looking forward to our trip to Youngs Dairy tomorrow. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Fun Times
Grannies Gone Wild
So Mom & Leta decided that they were going to race the boys green machines. It was so funny watching them race each other down the drive way.... just seeing them peddle their hearts out! Who says grandmas can't have fun?!
Aunt Amanda & Aunt Amber take a turn at the wheel! It was one heck of a race. Amber took her bike into the ditch and Amanda didn't know how to break and headed into the road. Oh the things we do to entertain ourselves. We always have a great time!
Mom & Amber started the racing early in the morning. I think the adults had a better time than the kids. Between the green machine races, a friendly game of HORSE, & Margarita's it was one heck of a Saturday! Hey at least everyone survived in one piece!

Happy Birthday Ashton!!
Today our little guy is 6 yrs old. I can't believe how fast time seems to be flying by. It seemed like yesterday we were bringing home from the hospital and now he is in 1st grade and turning into quite a young man. He had a wonderful birthday weekend. Our family and friends joined us Saturday for a bbq, basketball (the adults played horse while the kids raced the green machines), cake & ice cream and some all around good fun! Ashton received lots of great gifts and even got to spend his birthday money today! Then later that evening we had a fire and the kids got to roast marshmellows. Ashton has been begging to do that so I thought that would be a nice treat for his party. Thanks again to all our family & friends for his gifts and taking the time to come help us celebrate his birthday!

Great weekend!
We had a busy weekend! Friday we just hung around the house. Everyone was exhausted from our busy week so we just had dinner and watched some TV. The Wedekings left early because Ashley wasn't feeling well. It was an early night.
Saturday we went to Oktoberfest in Vandalia. It was a lot smaller than we thought it would be but it was still nice. Justin got a big beer and a brat. The boys & I shared some fresh pretzels with nacho cheese. Then with our left over tickets the boys used them to make some sand art. They also got some treats. It was a good time. Then we came home and played basketball for the rest of the afternoon.
Sunday was suppose to be a lazy day but I got the yard mowed, laundry done, and cleaned up around the house. We had some homemade pizzas for dinner. It was a great way to end the weekend! Hope everyone else had a wonderful weekend. I will post some pics after we get my computer fixed.

Tuesday, Tuesday, Tuesday!!
Today Ashley came to help me babysit the kiddos. It was nice having an extra set of hands and an adult to talk to. I am watching 2 of Casey's kiddos while she is @ a wedding plus Phenix. We have survived day 1 and I am happy to say everyone is happy and behaved really well. We had a couple of moments with fussy babies but I guess that is what happens when you have 3 little ones who are all teething at the same time. I got some great pictures today too of the kids so that is a plus. I miss taking pictures of my boys all the time. With them gone at school all day, when they get home they play until supper, then homework, baths, and finally bed I just don't have enough time in the day to capture them. They are growing up too fast and I cherish every moment with them even though sometimes they drive me crazy. I thank god every day for my boys and Justin. They are my world and what keeps me going. I hope that everyone has a wonderful week!
More of Aunt Amber & Uncle Landon
So on Saturday we spent part of the day at the Metro Park. We played frisbee golf and let Audo run around and play frisbee for a bit as well. It was a lot of fun and was some good exercise. Unfortunately Aunt Amber went home with a heck of a bruise. We were standing off to the side while Ashton threw his frisbee and much to her dismay it was not out of the way enough. His wicked side arm took that frisbee right into the back of her leg and she now has a horrible bruise with a knot in it. She had to call and give Ashy a hard time. Ashton also got his frisbee stuck in a tree. Daddy & Uncle landon had to hoist him up to reach it. They did end up getting it down. We were so glad that they decided to come see us. It was a lot of fun and wish they could have stayed longer but we will see them again soon. Then we played corn hole with the Wedekings, Liz, & Get until it started to rain. It was a great time. We had a wonderful Labor Day weekend! Hope every else did as well

Aunt Amber & Uncle Landon Visit
So before we head out to the Metro Park for a hike I thought I would stop by and post some pictures from last night! Owen talked Aunt Amber & I into playing UNO. It was the longest game ever but we had a blast. The Men folk watched some tv and played the PS3. We are enjoying our visit with Aunt Amber & Uncle Landon. Stay tuned for more!

Lazy Saturday
So today has been a lazy day for me. Although my day started out @ 7am (which I still I am not very pleased with my dogs) I did quite a bit accomplished. I cleaned the house some more especially the boys bathroom & bedrooms. It is amazing how dirty little boys are. I just cleaned those rooms a few days ago and it looks like I have not even touched them. Then I have almost got all of our scrapbooks caught up. I have a few more pages to do and I will be finished. For the time being that is. Justin slept in this morning since he had to work last night so now he is out tinkering in the garage with his handy helper Ashton. Owen & I just got done playing basektball. He is a riot that kid. Now we are just waiting on the boys suprise to get here (Aunt Amber & Uncle Landon are coming) Have a great weekend!
Busy Busy Friday
Today is picture day at school! So be on the look out for the boys new school picture. They only do fall pictures at this school or so I am told. They looked very handsome this morning. I can't wait to see how the pictures turned out!
I'm exhausted... I worked really hard today! Since I didn't have the baby today I deep cleaned my house again. I vacuumed, swept & mopped the basement as well as cleaned the carpet. Did some laundry, grocery shopped (yuck does anyone else hate this task?), cleaned the pool & patio. I just worked worked worked all day. Then that evening the Wedekings came for chicken quesadilla and after homework we watched UP! It was a cute movie but really sad in some parts. I could have cried! Both of the boys still have a cough and cold. They count down the days until the weekend so I am sure they are glad that today is friday. Ashton pulled a draw out of the hutch and dropped it right on his toe! Bless his heart I know it had to hurt. He is was a trooper. Hope everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday weekend!

Happy Anniversary to us!! Justin and I celebrated our 8th anniversary yesterday. But 11 years total together. It has been a great 11 years and I looking forward to having many many many more together. We have 2 wonderful boys and a wonderfully happy life together. We are very blessed!!
Back to the swing of things... The boys first week of school went on without a hitch. They both have done really well. No tears from anymore and they both love riding the bus. It is so hard to believe that they are in school already. Owen is 7 and Ashton will be 6 in September. My how the time does fly!! They keep us busy and we are back to our old schedule. There seems to never be enough time together though since the boys come home have a snack, play outside until 6:30, then bath time, dinner, then about 1 1/2 of homework per child then bedtime. It makes me miss summer vacation :( Hope everyone has a wonderful week!
Sunday
So something is wrong with my computer and is not letting me post so I am going to try from Justin's computer and get you guys caught up on whats been going on here. Hello Fall weather!! Fall is such a great time of the year with the cooler temperatures and the leaves changing. I am ready to have some more family pictures taken as well! This is my favorite time of year for pictures too. Sunday was a great day. I was so excited that the weather has finally cooled off a bit that I decided I would start putting away our pool stuff and get out my fall decorations. As soon as I get my computer fixed I will add the pictures I took of the front. Other than putting up the decorations it was pretty much a lazy day.
