You'll shoot your eye out :)

Every time the ask to get the bb gun out all I can think about is A Christmas Story. I love that movie and can't help but laugh every time we get the boys Red Rider BB Gun out. I totally understand how Ralphie's mom feels now in the movie. I worry about the boys shooting it but luckily they have a great teacher. Justin set them down and taught them gun safety and set ground rules with them for when they are shooting. And plus it gives them something to bond over and they actually like spending time together enjoying something they all love. I freak out a bit so lord help me when they want to shoot and actual gun :(

Owen got shot in the face with a squirt gun... I can't believe I caught the stream just as it hit his face. Classic :)

more remodel

Bye Bye little wall. The wall was sinking so instead of putting a window in there we are removing the wall and moving the door over. Then just framing the rest of that wall.
No more wall

Update on Remodel

Here are our new windows! I am so excited to have windows that open to let the air in :)

Patio Remodel

And so it begins... A very awesome friend of ours (Thanks Ellis) is going to do our patio remodel for us. He is putting in 4 new windows, a new patio door, and dry wall for us. I have picked out paint already to match the curtains so all that leaves is a new fire place door and a new floor. Justin and I are not sure what kind of floor yet. We are trying to find the most practical because of the kids, animals and the issue with wet feet from the pool :) So as soon as we decided that will be our next thing to do and that room will be done. So we will be able to mark it off the list and it will be on to the basement. I will update as we go along so wish us luck :)

Random flowers

I am not even sure how these ended up in the back yard but they are pretty.
I love these flowers... They are so big when they are fully opened. My poor gardens have suffered this year since I have not been able to get out there and weed them because of my but a few have struggled through and survived :)

Imagination is wonderful

Owen taking aim with his Lego gun he made. You should see some of the things this child builds with his Legos. He has quite the imagination :) He and Ashton were playing Army Rangers after swimming in the pool and wanted me to take pictures of their guns :)
Ashton so serious with his Lego gun :) This child has so many facial expressions it just cracks me up. From so serious to so hilarious I could just eat him up :)

Yay!! 90 degrees! I made my goal before I see the doctor next Thursday. I can officially bend my knee to 90 degrees and 92 degrees with a little help. I am making progress in therapy which is nice but it seems to be going slow. I am walking better and I guess progress is progress. I will let you know what the doctor has to say hopefully I can get rid of the brace. Say a little prayer for me.... every week at therapy I seem to add 8 to 10 degrees so hopefully I can keep up the pace.

I love capturing these moments. It seems like lately all they have done is fight with each other but when they hug on each other it just melts my heart. We love these two so much even though sometimes they get on our nerves :)

Ashton kept looking away towards Owen everytime I snapped his picture. He always had a smile on his face though even if he wouldn't keep his eyes towards me.
Owen telling me to stop taking his picture. It had been so long since I had the camera out I thought I better get some pictures. I have been getting in the pool with them since I am finally able to do that now. So instead of taking pictures, I have been doing my exercises and swimming with them.
Owen trying to squirt Ashton with his water bottle. Love his angry face :)
Ashton posing for the camera. He was making faces at me and this one was my favorite.

Knee update

I am currently able to bend my knee to 82 degrees. It is a slow going process but I hardly use my crutch any more and I only wear my brace when I am out of the house. My next appointment is Friday so hopefully it is bending a bit more. I have started exercising on the equipment there and I go in early to do a heat compress before I start. So we will see what this week brings. Keep your fingers crossed I am really ready to be done with all this mess.

Well as the summer comes to a close the boys have been spending every waking minute in the swimming pool. Some days they seem excited to go back to school and others they seem to be dreading that fateful day. I am excited for them to start their new year as Third graders but it also makes me a little sad. It seems that they are growing up so fast and before I know it they will be graduating and leaving home. I never really understood what my parents were saying as we grew up and left home but now with the boys I totally understand :( Hope everyone is enjoying what is left of their summer!!
