So it has been a week since I last posted.... Not too much going on here in Ohio. We are trying to get the pool closed up, oil changes and things winterized before it gets really cold. Ashton has been spending every moment he can on riding his dirt bike. Owen has been playing outside or inside if it is too cold for him playing with is Bionicles. He has made so many different creations. It is amazing. Justin has been trying to fix his 4 wheeler and hopefully he has finally got it figured out.
It is going to be a busy week since I will be leaving with Ashley on Friday to go to the Covered Bridge festival with my mom & sisters. Laundry is done, the house is cleaned for the most part and the last thing on the list is to grocery shop. We have been trying to stay warm and gather up as much wood as we can for this winter. I am so excited about getting to use the fireplace but not looking forward to when it gets real cold. Hope this finds you all in good spirits and good health. Have a great rest of the weekend.

Brumbaugh Fruit and Fun Farm
Today the boys had their first field trip of the school year. The went to Brumbaugh Farm. They learned about apples and pumpkins and how the grow. When I asked them how their day was the both had lots to say. They told me how an apple grows from a seed and how pumpkins also grow from seeds. Owen went into lots of detail on the entire process of how an apple seed becomes an apple. They told me how the seeds were different and how much fun they had picking their own apple and pumpkin. So now they have little pumpkins to go with their big pumpkins from our family trip to Young's Dairy. I can't believe how much they are learning. It is so nice when they come home and share details of their days.
The Boys
So these pictures are from a couple days ago but I am behind on everything these days. I will be doing better about keeping everyone informed on what is happening around here. I promise. So here it goes.... Ashton is enjoying his new dirt bike. Daddy takes him out to the empty field next to our house and lets him go wild. He is still afraid of being hurt but that certainly does not stop our little daredevil. He even gets a little air when he is out there in the field. He informed me tonight that he wants to set up ramps and hills in our back yard for him to practice on! Oh I don't know if my nerves can handle this. They are growing up to fast for me!

Youngs Dairy Trip
Today we spent the day @ Young's Dairy Farm. The Wedeking & Brady families joined in on the pumpkin gathering fun. It was a lot of fun. We took the kids thru the little barn to see & pet the animals. They each got 10 cents to get feed to feed the goats. We even got to see a baby calf that was 1 day old. It was so cute. Then Riley kissed one of the cows on the head and it started peeing. The boys got such a kick out of that. They laughed thru the entire barn and kept making Riley kiss the cow to see if it would pee. Boys... they get a kick out of the silliest things. Then after the barn we took some pictures of the kids. As we were taking pictures big rain clouds started to head over us so we thought we better get on the wagon ride over to the pumpkin fields. The boys of course had a wonderful time trying to find the biggest pumpkin. Ashley B. took pride in her unique pumpkin and Taylor helped Ashton find his pumpkin. It was great just watching them search the entire lot for the best pumpkin! We had a great day then it was off to Frickers for lunch. Kids eat free so that is a plus. They had fun playing games, the men folk watched the football game, and we ladies sat at our own table and chit chatted. Sorry to see the day end but I think everyone was exhausted. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and have a great week!

Ashton has a new interest....
So Ashton's birthday Justin got the boys a little dirt bike. Ashton was in 7th heaven and just loves getting out there and riding. He is not scared at all and is quite the Daredevil. He keeps asking when he can start racing. He is very much like his Daddy. Daddy and Ashton had their day together today. Justin took him outside and let him ride for quite awhile. It was muggy today, kind of foggy in the morning but luckily no rain. Owen on the other hand is a little leary about riding and doesn't like to go fast. (He takes after me not much of a daredevil) Owen and I are alot alike... We are big movie buffs and love to play games. Tonight, he and I played a couple of rounds of Guess Who. It was a blast but I am trying to teach him how to play. When he asks you questions he covers up the wrong people. We had a wonderful time together. The Wedekings also came over this afternoon to hang out. Ashley made Chicken and dumplings and corn bread. It was delicious. Then while the boys played a new video that Ashton got for his birthday the adults played Battle of the Sexes. I am very pleased to say that "Girls Rule" despite being sent back to home twice. We kicked their butts!!!!! We are looking forward to our trip to Youngs Dairy tomorrow. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Fun Times
So Mom & Leta decided that they were going to race the boys green machines. It was so funny watching them race each other down the drive way.... just seeing them peddle their hearts out! Who says grandmas can't have fun?!
Mom & Amber started the racing early in the morning. I think the adults had a better time than the kids. Between the green machine races, a friendly game of HORSE, & Margarita's it was one heck of a Saturday! Hey at least everyone survived in one piece!
Happy Birthday Ashton!!
Today our little guy is 6 yrs old. I can't believe how fast time seems to be flying by. It seemed like yesterday we were bringing home from the hospital and now he is in 1st grade and turning into quite a young man. He had a wonderful birthday weekend. Our family and friends joined us Saturday for a bbq, basketball (the adults played horse while the kids raced the green machines), cake & ice cream and some all around good fun! Ashton received lots of great gifts and even got to spend his birthday money today! Then later that evening we had a fire and the kids got to roast marshmellows. Ashton has been begging to do that so I thought that would be a nice treat for his party. Thanks again to all our family & friends for his gifts and taking the time to come help us celebrate his birthday!
