Fun in the Sun

Well over the past week the boys have made it in the pool everyday for a bit while the skies are clear. But it seems like after a half hour the sun disappears and out comes the storm clouds. Don't get me wrong I am glad that they get to enjoy the pool and I am enjoying the cool weather but really with the rain?! I could stop any day now just for a couple of days so we can enjoy the sun but not so much the heat :) Upper 70s Low 80s will do fine for me

June 12 Happy Birthday Owen

Happy 9th birthday Owen. We love you very much and we hope that you got everything that you wanted. Owen loves his legos and boy did he get tons of them. As he finishes them I will try to post some pictures of them. He also finally got Little big Planet 2 which he has wanted forever. Owen picked out a Tron legacy cupcake cake this year for his birthday. I think he just wanted the tron bike that you get on the cake but if that is what makes him happy I am all for it. I wanted to say a big thanks to all our family that came here for the party and helped me out since I am still on crutches. I appreciate all the help that you all have given me and I couldn't have put this party together without all of you. Thanks again for the help and for all of Owens gifts. He loves everything!!

Owen's Hip Hop Dance Recital

Great Job Owen, Matt, & Riley! Great Job Taylor & Ashley! This weekend the kids had their dance recital that they have been practicing for all year long. They did an awesome job and we enjoyed their show very much. Owen did so wonderful but bless his little heart he has my rhythm which is to say not very much. But he danced his heart out and that is all that matters. Besides he had a blast getting out there with his friends and showing us their moves. Way to go guys and we look forward to seeing your progress next year as well :)

Today we had a huge thunderstorm come thru Ohio. We had flash flood and hail warning for almost 2 hours. One minute it was thunder and lightning out then the next it was a huge downpour. You could barely see off our back porch. Our back yard looked like we had two pools and a small river in it. The front had a small river that was flooding into the streets. It was pretty bad for about 2 hours and then poof it was done. I guess we are making up for the nonexistent rain we had last year.
