Who are you looking at?

This ginormous praying mantis was on the flowers outside Meegans house. It was huge so I had to get a picture and share with everyone!

49ers vs. Dolphins

Well I am sorry to saw that the boys lost their football game yesterday. I don't know if it was the cooler weather, Justin not being there, or just an all and all rough day but our defense was just not feeling it yesterday. They tried their hardest, did their best, and still had fun so I guess that is all that matters. It also does not help that the ref had some horrible calls out there as well. Now they know what they need to work on and I am sure that they will address that in practice on wednesday. Ashton and I sat on the side lines watching them and tried to stay warm. It was so chilly and the sun went behind the clouds during the game so it was even cooler. I am enjoying the weather though. Hope everyone has a wonderful week and I will put up pictures soon from the game.

Idle Hour Ranch

After spending an hour at the Gorge and being disappointed we met the Brady family @ Idle Hour Ranch! The kids had a blast petting and feeding all the animals. They were most excited about the giraffe! It was just need to see all the animals. The owner walked around and got different animals out of their pins for the kids to get up close and pet. They got to pet a praire dog, a goat, and some bunnies up close. They also got to jump in some hay bales and have fun! It was such a wonderful day! I am exhausted and now it is time for bed :)

Clifton Gorge

Jane called us this morning and asked if we would like to take advantage of the wonderful weather by heading out to Clifton gorge. We were expecting to get some photos of the leaves changing but that has not quite happened around our area yet. A few trees here and there have spots of leaves that have changed colors but nothing full bloom yet. So we are going to try back in a couple of weeks and see what happens! Enjoy the pictures!

49ers Flag Football

So last Sunday officially kicked off our fall season of flag football. This season our team is the 49ers. They have a lot of wonderful players. Our first game was a loss 26 to 28 but it was a very exciting game. Owen was on fire. He pulled the flag of their biggest player at least 5 times during the game. Almost every boy on the team scored a touch down but 2! Zane (the coach) does a superb job at making sure each of the boys gets to play every position! Our boys are a bit on the smaller side but boy can they kick some serious butt! We are so very proud of our players. They did a wonderful job and played their little hearts out! Way to go 49ers! Can't wait to see what this weekends game has in store for us as well as the rest of our season!

Happy 7th Birthday Ashton

Michelle, Meegan, Leta, Jane, Mom, Amanda and I
Opening up the comic books he asked for!
He was so super excited because he got a new digital camera for his birthday! Thank you to Grammy Cindy and Papa Bill. He has taken over a 100 pictures already!

So it is catch up time once again for me! Ashton celebrated his 7th birthday this past weekend. It was so wonderful to have so many friends and relatives here to help us celebrate his birthday. We had spaghetti dinner (per his request) and cupcakes with sharks on them! The kids had a wonderful time playing in the yard and staying busy while the adults got to play some corn hole or sit around and chit chat! It was such a wonderful day but just a little too humid. All week the weather had been wonderful but Saturday it decided to be humid with NO air movement what so ever. Despite the ugly heat it was an exceptional day for our baby to turn 7!! Happy Birthday Ashton! Mom and Dad (& everyone) Loves you very much!

Moms Gone Wild Sept 2010

This was our first stop on our weekend... J & J Winery! They had some very delicious selections to chose from. I loved their sweet white wine which they had turned into a very yummy slush. They also had a chocolate one that is to die for so I bought a bottle of that. Who doesn't love chocolate right?!
Here are the girls after their horse ride. I had a moment and freaked on the horse. I am okay with sitting on them but when they move you can forget it. I am glad that I did not go anyway because it has stormed the night before and had been sprinkling all day so the trail was really muddy and the horses were slipping around. I would have really freaked out then.
Here we all are getting ready to Zip line. It was so much fun! We did for different lines and each one got longer and a little bit fast as we went. Our instructors were awesome and a lot of fun. They fit right in with our wild crowd. I had never laughed so much as I did this weekend.
The top picture is Saskia, Laura, Jane and I at the top of the fire tower @ Brown County State Park. Meegan and Linda made it up two flights before they gave up which is totally fine because I get where they were coming from. Linda was afraid of heights and Meegs didn't like the way it swayed in the breeze (which it did). It was a long way down from the top but it was neat to see the park from that perspective. The bottom picture is us @ one of the original building @ the park. We had such a wonderful weekend.

Labor Day BBQ

Justin & I
Meegan, Me & Jane....these girls are very special to me :)
Meegan and I
The Brady's threw an awesome Labor Day party. We had tons of great food and lots of drinks. We even busted out the corn hole bags and catch phrase. Jane and I kicked ass once again at corn hole and that was even after a few drinks and a couple of shots. I am totally surprised we even hit the board. The kids ran around playing football, volleyball, jumped in the trampoline, and even swam. They were all so exhausted by the end of night it was fabulous. Thanks again to the Brady Family for being such wonderful hosts!

Dirt Biking

Owen and Makaley playing on the swingset
Owen posing for a picture
Ashton coming around the turn to the little hill he was jumping.
Dad giving him a pep talk and some advice.

Ashton got to take his dirt bike out again. We headed over to Lake Bailee so he ride for a bit. Michelle and Makaley came to watch him as well. Makaley and Owen hit the playground and played while we all watched Ashy ride. Ashton did really well but couldn't ride on the big hills because his bike wouldn't handle the track. With him being so light and with no rain hardly all summer he just couldn't keep his bike up right. He did well on the small hill and he even was getting air. But my heart stopped when he took a horrible spill and we called it a day. He wasn't hurt thank goodness but I think we were all terrified!!

Bengals Vs Colts

Justin and I headed to Indianapolis on the 2nd to watch the Bengals play the Colts with Chuck and Leta. We had an awesome time. We started the afternoon off walking around the mall then headed to dinner @ the Spaghetti Factory. I had some wonderful chicken alfredo! Then it was on to the game. The Bengals won by 2. It was really neat to be see close and see all the players. We sat in the end zone and the people that sat next to us were a blast as well! As for my first NFL game.... I had a wonderful time. It was a great way to spend our anniversary. I am lucky to have such a great husband... here to many many more years together!
