Today was a good day. We hung out with our friends and had some good grub for dinner. The older kids played outside for most of the day until it started storming. Then they came in and played down in the basement. The little ones took turns fussing and being cranky but we wouldn't have it any other way. It was nice to have our entire snowberry circle group back together again! We always have a blast when we are together :)

Today was the boys first day back to school. I was afraid Ashton was going to freak out a bit and Owen was going to give me a hard time getting up.... but I am happy to say it all went off without a hitch. Owen got up and dressed at the first call. Ashton was a little nervous but a little bribe and he got on the bus without any tears. It was only a half day today and half day tomorrow but Thurs & Friday will be full days. I am happy to be back in the swing of things but sad to see summer vacation end. The boys are growing up so darn fast and I feel like they will be moved out before long!! Time sure does fly by and this year seems to be moving at a very fast speed but what can you do. Monday

Yesterday the boys enjoyed their last day of summer by playing outside and playing the PS3. I did laundry, deep cleaned the house, & helped Justin chop all the wood we have gathered from the neighbors. It took us most of the day but it was worth it in the end. Check out how big our wood pile is! We worked hard until it was time to take the boys to meet their teachers and see their classrooms. I went with Owen to meet his teacher. She was his summer school teacher so that worked out perfectly. He knew her already and she knows his difficulties. Justin went with Ashton. He said she is really young and new to the school so we will see how it goes. He said she seemed nice. He also said that Ashton is really popular. All the kids were saying Hi to him. We went to walmart to pick up snacks for them to take to school and we saw a little boy that knew him. For a shy kid he sure does make an impression! Wish us Luck on their first day of School!

We were suppose to go to the Metro park for lunch then a hike but Justin decided we need to fix the fireplaces instead. We headed to Menards in the morning and picked up the supplies then came back home. Justin swept the chimneys, filled the cracks, then started them up. Just a small fire but it was lovely. Bats (our black cat really enjoyed it) She sat in front of it for the entire time just a watching it. It was so funny to watch her. It was another busy day for us. Owen went with the neighbors and watched a movie then hung out at their house all day. Ashton stayed with us and helped around the house. He is such a home body just like I was. Kids... what can you say!

This weekend was a busy one for us. We were trying to make sure that they boys had everything that they needed to start school on Tuesday and trying to fix up stuff around the house. Saturday the Wedekings came over and Ashley made a new chicken dish for us to try. It was wonderful! Then Justin & Dustin worked on trying to fix our built in ice maker. After a little yelling and lots of arguing I think they figured out what was wrong with it. For those of you that don't know when our husbands work together it is like Clark & Eddie (from the National Lampoon Movies) Watching those two work together is a riot! The boys were out playing with friend until dusk so I didn't get any pictures of them. But I got a great one of Cannie B. We sure are going to miss them when they move back to Texas. It will be weird not seeing them all the time. It is like having a piece of your family torn away but we are making plans to visit :) Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

How time flies

This week has flown right by. It is hard to believe that the boys will be back to school next week. I am excited for them to get back to it. We have been working with Owen so hopefully this year goes better for him. He is getting better at his reading. Ashton has also improved and we are working on his pronuciation of certain letters. Keep your fingers crossed that we have a great school year this year!!

I have been busy watching Phenix and trying to keep my house in order. That is one thing that I look forward too is not having 2 boys running through my house leaving toys everywhere and dirtying every dish we own. I got some scrapbooking done and caught up on most of my shows. I still have to watch the last few episodes of Leverage and then I will be totally caught up.

Today was miserably hot so we spent most of the late morning and early afternoon swimming in the pool. We had a great time playing with the boys and I got swim some laps too. Then we came inside to have lunch but got side tracked with other projects. I cleaned out the boys closets while they played games. They took a break from their games to make Dustin a birthday poster. Justin grabbed a snack then installed the new door knob in the kitchen since the other broke yesterday. I also got a few scrapbook pages done but have many more to do. Then this evening Dustin, Ashley, Get, Bob & Cannin came over for some Brisket and to watch a movie. The food was great and the movie was hilarious. They boys love Dustin to death and we were so excited that we could be with him on his birthday. They worked really hard on his signs and he really enjoyed them. We have come to think of them as family and will be so sad when they leave in April. We called it a night early since I have to be up @ 6am and Get & Bob have to be at the airport early in the morning. Have a safe flight & drive home Bob & Get. It was great seeing you guys! Tonight we had some awesome wings & chips with Dip!! (Thanks to Get & Ashley it was wonderful) Then we played another round in our Corn hole tournament. I am happy to say that Bob & I only lost the last game but other than that we kick some major butt!! Woo Woo!! We finally felt sorry for the birthday boy so we thought we would let him win at least one game ;) While we played corn hole the boys of course swam in the pool. They are like little fish and it is so much fun just watching them. They are both learning to dive real well and even swim on top of the water instead of always under water. Owen is definitely a Wheelock. He has the makings to become an awesome swimmer. Ashton is a wonderful swimmer too don't get me wrong just not as graceful as Owen. After we were all worn out we headed indoors for some birthday cake to celebrate Dustin turning 22!! We sat and chit chatted while we had cake then they headed for home and we headed to bed (after this post of course!) Have a great Sunday!!

Last night Ashley, Dustin, Get, Bob, & Cannin came over to have a little corn hole tournament. It was a blast besides the high humidity. Our boys swam in the pool for a couple of hours then went inside and played the PS3. Ashton came out every once in awhile to watch us play and help gather beanbags. Dustin & I started our reign again but then he dropped me so I partnered up with Bob and we kicked ass!! Sorry Dustin that is what you get for dropping me as a partner ;) We really enjoyed ourselves despite all the trash talk but hey what is game without a bit of friendly banter back and forth?! Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

SORRY!!

I am falling behind on our blog so I thought while I have a few minutes I would fill you in. We started the week with a trip to the dentist. Owen did well no cavities and has to go this coming Monday to have sealant put on his 4 adult teeth. Ashton also did well but has ground down his front teeth so far that you can see the nerves. The dentist said that there was nothing she could do and that his teeth may be sensitive if he keeps grounding them after his adult teeth come in he will have to be fitted for a guard.
The boys have one more week for summer vacation before school begins. Tomorrow is registration day and I will find out bus schedules & who their teachers will be. yeah! I am excited and I just hope they enjoy going to school again this year. We bought some school clothes & all their supplies so they are ready to go.
I have been babysitting everyday and then tending to house stuff at night. It keeps me busy and I am sorry to say it is keeping me from getting on here and getting my camera out. I plan on taking plenty of pictures this weekend so I hopefully get you caught up on the new pictures of the boys. Have a great weekend!!

After Phenix left today, I spent the rest of the afternoon mowing our yard. It took me FOREVER and boy do I feel out of shape. But I must say it looks beautiful!! I got 3 more cucumber out of my garden and there will be plenty more to pick as the days go on. My pepper plants are blooming and producing peppers so we should be getting plenty of jalapenos & habanero peppers. My leaf lettuce is ready. Carrots and radishes are also doing pretty good from what i can tell. Fingers crossed we should have to good veggies soon. The boys are full of it today and I wish I could just get them to go to bed because they are driving me nuts tonight. Tuesday

Here are a few pictures from tuesday.... I have been busy babysitting and trying to catch up on housework that I am finding it hard to have time to get on the computer. The boys are enjoying their last few days of summer and wishing that summer was just a tad bit longer. Hopefully this year will bring plenty of improvement so they won't have to take summer school. We are working hard with them at home so hopefully that will help! Have a great weekend!

Memories!!

I started babysitting for Phenix today. He is such a wonderful little guy. Then after his mommy picked him up we went swimming for a bit. We had a great time playing games in the pool together and it was the first real family time we have had since we got back on friday. Then we made some chicken and watched a movie. Now that we have all gone our separate ways... I messed with some pictures with photoshop, Justin is getting caught up on tv shows with Ashton with popcorn of course, & Owen is waiting for me to join him so we can watch Addams Family and eat some ice cream. Tonight we had a wonderful supper with Ashley, Dustin, Cannin, Casey, Makenna, Tessa, Keigan, & my parents. Mom made fried chicken, mashed taters, & homemade gravy. It was awesome. Then we watched 2 movies before my parents hit the sack for their trip home tomorrow. (thanks to mom and dad for bringing us home!!) It was nice seeing everyone since we have been gone for so long and I know my mom enjoyed seeing the babies. It is good to be home but I am going to miss my parents bunches. (and Chuck & Leta too) We will see you all for Ashton's birthday in September. Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Wednesday night the boys spent visiting with their Mamaw Leta, Papaw Chuck, Chris & Tess. They had a great time playing in the creek down from the house and swimming in the pool. I am glad that they got to spend time with them since we don't to see them very much.

I stayed at my parents and had some quality time with my parents. We had dinner then watch a movie. It was nice to be able to sit through the whole movie in silence. It doesn't happen a lot at my house unless the boys are in bed :) It was sad when friday rolled around..... it was nice to visit and catch up with everyone but We missed Justin. Although friday when we got home Owen asked how long we were going to be here. I think he got used to being in kentland and thought that was his new home :) Ashton was exstatic to see his PS3 and his dad.
